I’d come across a couple cool blogs. The first is a collection of maps – strange ones, with interesting concepts. The latest one being “US States Renamed for Countries with Similar GDPs”.
I particularly like this one – The Inglehart-Welzel Cultural Map of the World. This map plots out how countries relate to each other on 2 axis: ‘traditional/secular-rational’ and ‘survival/self-expression’.
Another one for Tolkien fans perhaps-
Where on Earth was Middle Earth?
The second is all about the Future, seen from the past. A collection of stories written in the past about the future – which in 2007, is the present. So it’s amusing to see what’s really happened and what is still the stuff of science fiction.
